Founded in 2020 by two undergraduate students at Vanderbilt University, The Music Room has quickly grown in size and now has increased student representation at Vanderbilt as well as Belmont University and Lipscomb University. Despite the increase in size and demand of the organization, the mission of The Music Room has remained the same: to provide college artists the opportunity to showcase their musical talents in the city of Nashville, the number one city for music in the United States. Through partnerships and collaborations with local venues and event spaces, we host frequent concerts of all sizes and scopes featuring premiere college artists in the Nashville area, allowing them the opportunity to collaborate with fellow artists and perform in front of the Nashville community. We are changing the culture of the music industry in the Music City with the goal of promoting a more inclusive, collaborative, and inviting space for artists to create, learn, and grow together.
