The Al-Kindi Club is a society of Arab technology enthusiasts living and working in the UK. Through our monthly events we aim to bring the community together to celebrate the achievements of members of the Arab community working in the UK science and technology sector. Our events are open to anyone, as this is not in any way an exclusive cultural society. Although the Al-Kindi Club is focussed on celebrating the work of a particular community, we warmly encourage anyone with an interest in technology to come along to our events. Our focus on the Arab community stems from a current lack of a platform for Arabs in technology to meet and get to know each other, and insufficient appreciation and celebration of their contribution to the UK technology sector. Our meet-ups are informal monthly events, in which a speaker is invited to give a brief talk of his or her journey to-date in the technology sector. This is followed by a Q&A and time to network and meet fellow members and enthusiasts.
