Our mission is to change the way people get jobs, making it easy to acquire the skills needed to get started in technology. We’re starting by training and certifying workers in soft skills and providing companies with access to a remote ready and trained workforce. Soft skills are the most in-demand skill set by employers across all job types. Being able to communicate across digital channels, collaborate with others, make decisions and solve problems become critical skills for workers as jobs become dependent on technology and increasingly remote. Over 70% of U.S. workers are in service jobs and have already built a foundation in soft skills. Most people start their careers in a service job - working in restaurants, retail shops, hotels or another service role. Our goal is to build upon that experience and provide clear pathways from there to technology-enabled jobs. The world of work is undergoing tremendous change and will continue to change as technology and business evolves. Companies will always need to innovate and will always benefit from employees that have the modern skills to get the job done. By training workers on the common denominator skillset, we’re opening up new job opportunities and creating upward mobility. Companies benefit by saving time and money in hiring, and build increased confidence in hiring a remote ready and diverse workforce. We believe that everyone, regardless of where you grew up, where you went to school or not or the work experience you’ve had, should be able to tap into the opportunities jobs in technology create.
