Did you know over 500,000 older people go a week without speaking to anyone at all? By 2025, the number of over-50s experiencing loneliness is set to reach 2 million - CareDogs wants to be part of the solution. CareDogs solves social isolation and loneliness in older people by offering a befriending network with local volunteers and their dogs. In short, we aim to encourage intergenerational connections to tackle social isolation and loneliness among older people through human and canine companionship. Where appropriate, we also help older people to adopt senior dogs, assisting with online searches, applications and video home checks where needed.
