Our goal is to fill a void in the lending market by providing flexible and simple terms to growing companies that may find it difficult or onerous to obtain debt financing from either a traditional banks or most alternative lenders. Most early-stage companies do not have long enough operating histories to satisfy most lenders. And even if these companies can qualify for a loan, the terms usually require strict financial covenants and personal guarantees of owners and founders. TechFinance Ventures offers a different approach to lending for early-stage companies. Through our sister company, TechFinanceCFO, we have a long history of working with early-stage companies and understanding their financial needs. This has enabled us to develop a unique approach we use to measure and evaluate effectively the credit risk of any company. We do not require long operating histories, positive cash flow, credit checks, personal guarantees nor financial covenants. Instead, we consider the management team’s execution skills, sales velocity and cash flow trends to understand the company’s funding requirements and capacity for repayment.
