FUTURE LANDSCAPES Design + Visualization
www.futurelandscapes.caStephanie Braconnier is a designer who's worked in public space, landscape architecture & urban design for 10 years. In 2016 she founded FUTURE LANDSCAPES with the ambition to pursue a more versatile and integrative approach to design that encompasses the spectrum of scales within graphic representation, from typography and digital media to landscape planning on an urban scale. In the urgent environmental challenges facing our world the role of landscape architecture has been a relatively untapped resource. Human understanding and buy-in is required on a deeply personal level to tackle difficult issues. However the problems and solutions remain abstracted, the scale herculean, and the landscape response has been scaled thus. Visual communication and graphic representation help communities and stakeholders understand the complex relationships at work in design, and mobilize decision-makers to act. FUTURE LANDSCAPES focuses on creating visions for resilient, biodiverse, inclusive public space with special attention to the relationship between urban nature and our innate need for biophilic connection.
