Besides, Mirik has a homely feeling :) We also believe that a limited budget should not limit your access to a clean, comfortable and happy place to spend a tired night. Haamro Ghar, which literally translates to ‘Our Home’ has always been open to guests as we frequently have friends and families surprise us with visits. We enjoy playing the hosts :D So, we decided to use parts of our home for our families and friends. And you! Keeping in mind the unique needs & budget of today’s travellers, both long staycationers and short holiday trippers, we have- -Budget rooms for backpackers with shared common spaces and washrooms, and -Two room ensuite holiday homes with a kitchenette and separate private entry We live upstairs and you’re always welcome to join us for tea and chats. We love exchanging conversations with people from around the world but also respect your privacy. Everybody’s welcome, but we love the open-minded and responsible kind for sure. At Haamro Ghar, we value our environment and ecosystem and aspire towards an eco-tourism approach. We recommend activities that work towards protecting the environment, the conservation and preservation of our natural and cultural resources and that support local businesses. In doing so, we hope to promote Mirik in a responsible and sustainable way. Mirik has mostly been a stopover point on the Siliguri-Darjeeling route or a night’s stopover; but give Mirik a chance, and we promise, Mirik won’t disappoint you.
