Mind Meets Music is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in West Michigan cultivating children's academic success through music.Mind Meets Music is an academic achievement program using music to improve literacy skills. We are committed to a quality learning experience and the success of underserved preschool through second grade students. Using music as its medium, Mind Meets Music's expertly trained and highly skilled Master Teaching Artists facilitate 30-minute sessions twice a week in classrooms. Mind Meets Music is NOT a traditional music program and is not intended to replace school music classes. Rather, it serves as an academic enhancement and acts as a conduit connecting the arts with general education, specifically literacy. Mind Meets Music classes are child-centered, sequential, experiential, and intense. The outcome is a revolutionary arts integration program of the highest quality, designed to increase the likelihood of academic success for high-needs, at-risk preschool through second grade students.
