www.ncelec.orgFESCO, a shared services and management cooperative, was formed in 1998 to share cooperative management staff, accounting, billing, engineering, communications, community and member relations, and marketing departments with Lorain-Medina Rural Electric and North Central Electric. North Central Electric Cooperative, Inc. is an electric distribution cooperative serving the needs of about 9,600 members in Crawford, Hancock, Huron, Richland, Sandusky, Seneca, Wood and Wyandot counties in north central Ohio. We maintain about 1,800 miles of underground and overhead lines as well as 11 substations and one metering point. Incorporated in 1936, North Central Electric has been serving the area for over 75 years. Lorain-Medina Rural Electric Cooperative is an electric distribution cooperative serving the needs of about 16,000 consumers in Ashland, Huron, Lorain, Medina and Wayne counties in northeast Ohio. We maintain about 1,500 miles of underground and overhead lines as well as 15 substations. Founded in 1935, Lorain-Medina Rural Electric has been serving the area for over 75 years. Both are not-for-profit electric cooperatives, each is owned and controlled by the members served locally.
