Durham Biology Society
www.durhamsu.comAs one of Durham University’s most active societies and with over 700 members, Durham Biology Society, which was rebranded in 2020, boasts a free membership providing privileged access to networking events, panel discussions, career and academic opportunities and internal departmental information. The society strives to enhance studying at Durham, connecting students and academics across all year groups by organising regular social and academic events, whilst also supporting members through a mentor scheme. In a challenging and competitive job market, the society has focussed on the dissemination of opportunities regarding summer internships, placement years and graduate programmes. Through promoting departmental seminars and sharing recent findings in emerging research areas, the society aims to assist all our members in building an engaging CV to maximise future career prospects. We welcome discussion from Alumni and future employers about potential collaborations in the form of presentations/webinars or careers workshops. If you wish to contact Durham Biology Society to discuss available or potential opportunities, please email us at this address: bio.soc@durham.ac.uk
