Ras Ghareb Wind Energy SAE, is a company created in 2017 to build, own and operate a wind farm located in vicinity of Ras Ghareb, in the Gulf of Suez, Egypt. The 262.5 MW wind farm comprises 125 wind turbines supplied by Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energies. The civil works and electrical substation were provided by Orascom Construction. The company is owned by ENGIE, Toyota Tsusho, Eurus Energy and Orascom Construction. The wind farm reached commercial operation on 31st October 2019, 1.5 months ahead of schedule.
