Founded and administered by Giovanni Costantino, Alessandra Sciamanna and Daniele Silipo, Distribuzione Indipendente is a new distribution for independent cinema, arthouse and genre films. A dynamic and transversal project established with the desire to promote and endorse the “other” creative and vital side of film, which struggles in gaining the right and adequate exposure. Distribuzione Indipendente has created an alternative distribution circuit for selected films. Arthouse theaters, Film Clubs and Cultural Associations guarantee the circulation of selected film concurrently throughout all of Italy. Spreading word on film magazines and websites, these theaters become part of a network completely alternative and independent from major movie houses. Distribuzione Indipendente's catalogue comprises thirty (30) films of different genres. They all have been rewarded and celebrated in national and international film festivals. From January 2012 the films have been released through VOD on Own Air platform as well as in theaters. It's precise intent is to give viewing space to all those films which cannot find their way into traditional film markets. Furthermore, Distribuzione Indipendente offers specialized legal services for the motion picture and audiovisual business, from the pre-production and development fase to post-production, marketing and distribution.
