Welcome to MOVE, a new research institute in economics, located at Bellaterra Campus of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. The main objective of MOVE (Markets, Organizations and Votes in Economics) is to promote frontier research in economics, building on the already substantial economics research and educational programs that have made of the Bellaterra campus an important part of the research community within Barcelona, Spain and Europe. This objective is carried by MOVE's Research Fellows. MOVE was jointly created in December 2008 as a research consortium by the Catalan Ministry for Universities and Research and the UAB and Salvador Barberà, was appointed to be its first director in the summer of 2009. In 2015, MOVE became a private foundation with the support of Fundación Urrutia Elejalde and Fundació Parc de Recerca de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
