The Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau administers the French community in the Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau, and has the mission to serve and protect the interests of French citizens. Under the authority of the French Embassy in Beijing, the Consulate General is in charge of coordinating and furthering the development of political ; cultural, education and science ; and economic relations between France and both Hong Kong and Macau.
