Qualified Aerospace Instructors Course
www.qaic.orgThe Qualified Aerospace Instructors Course (QAIC) is the Air Cadet Organisation’s (ACO) premier aerospace-based course. The course aims to take senior cadets in the ACO and, via academic and synthetic training, generate a cadre of high calibre Qualified Aerospace Instructors (QAIs) able to deliver aerospace-based training to other cadets. These QAIs are well-rounded, ambitious young people who dedicate a great deal of time to the course as students and often returning to the course as instructors to develop the next round of QAIs. Many of our older alumni have started careers across a wide range of industries, including the armed forces, engineering and elsewhere. The course runs across two centres, RAF Linton-on-Ouse and MOD Boscombe Down and is staffed entirely by volunteer Air Cadet staff, who dedicate their time and commitment across the nine-month period of the course. These staff are a mixture of service instructors, industry experts and former QAIs who work to a rigorous syllabus to deliver high level challenging training. The purpose of this page is to build an industrial presence for QAIC and to develop an alumni network as our QAIs leave the ACO and head into industry.
