Upower Leadership Program is a non profit initiative that empowers, trains & mentors females in entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial leadership. The Program also helps businesses with innovation through business capacity building in a large under-utilised pool of talent- females. The program will be a safe place to share ideas, learn and practice leadership strategies. Local women in leadership are struggling mainly because of the family commitments and lack of support system. The research suggests that women in entrepreneurial leadership would benefit from business coaching, tailored workshops to learn strategic innovation and leadership practices and seminars that would also create networking opportunities. Upower Leadership Program will be a basis for a national research. This research would discuss and make suggestions to ways to amend the situation through Leadership Program, taking into account the personal backgrounds. The research would also provide an exciting opportunity to fundamentally improve our understanding of entrepreneurial business leadership amongst women in regional, rural and remote Queensland Australia.
