The Syndicate of the Belgian Diamond Industry ('Het Syndikaat der Belgische Diamantnijverheid') aims mainly at promoting the Belgian diamond industry in all its aspects and the international diamond industry in general, the prevention and fighting of abuses, the protection and representation of the common professional interests of its members on social, legal, fiscal, economic and technological fields. SBD is a legally recognized professional association of the Belgian and foreign diamond companies established in Belgium, and represents the manufacturers, the brokers, the traders, the laboratories and the sawyers and clovers of colored stones.
