Old skool meets design. In the Netherlands by tradition people sent out cards to announce the birth of a child. In 2008 and pregnant of her first child, Tiny was looking for a unique birth announcement created with a special technique. She found letterpress, a technique relatively unknown in the Netherlands. For her wedding announcement in 2009, she bought a small Adana press from the United Kingdom and designed and created 120 cards by hand. With her passion for the letterpress technique, she later buys a large press from 1890 to print other cards. Her love for letterpress was established. Since the technique was still not well known in the Netherlands and with a growing demand for custom made cards, Tiny starts a blog to sell birth announcements and hand printed cards. Within 4 years Letterpers grows quickly to become the prime provider of custom made letterpress birth and wedding announcements in the Netherlands. Driven by her love for the traditional technique combined with her passion for creating unique designs and special typography, Tiny prints birth and wedding announcements for a rapidly growing (international) client base. Every card reflects Tiny’s distinctive designs. Her work has been featured in many trend setting lifestyle and design magazines and she was invited to an international letterpress workshop and exhibition in Milan. To accommodate the growing demand and interest for letterpress, Tiny also created a limited edition of ‘animal’ notebooks and postcards, which are sold in her Etsy store.
