Trust To Achieve
www.trust-to-achieve.comOur strengths: The experience of our committee and our active members, some of whom are visually impaired. A network of companies at national and international level: The support and experience of our partners, active in the field of visual impairment and whose mission is to improve the daily life of people with limited sight. Our beliefs By offering mentoring to blind or visually impaired people, coaching to companies of all sizes, and through other projects involving companies, partners and people with visual impairments, we want to create an environment where the absence of sight is perceived, not as a handicap, but as an opportunity. A new “vision” for companies! What is the reality? “The eye sees only what the mind is prepared to comprehend” (Henri Bergson) The perception of visual impairment is still a delicate subject and taboo when it comes to integration into the professional world. According to a study by the Central Union for the Good of the Blind (UCBA), nearly 377,000 people, or 4% of the Swiss population, live with blindness, poor sight or deafblindness in our country. For those with visual impairments who have completed regular studies, their career opportunities unfortunately do not equal that of “valid” people. The reason is the society in which we live tends to erect barriers when faced with visually impaired people. Visually impaired people do not have full access to information (for example; job offers, continuous training) therefore do not have a global vision of the opportunities available to them. Added to this their full integration into companies is not guaranteed so it is difficult for them to take their place and be part of the work force. So, to remedy this situation, we must… Act!
