One of the last working mills in Ireland, Foxford was founded by an Irish Sister of Charity in 1892 and overcame many challenges over the years, in order to survive. Today, Foxford is a thriving working mill, visitor centre and cafe, employing over 40 people and allowing a tradition spanning thousands of years to survive and flourish. Foxford quality pieces are valued all over the world, and are respected for their heritage. Traditionally the Foxford blanket was passed down through Irish families, and represented the best in quality and craftsmanship. Foxford, with thanks to top Irish designers such as Helen McAlinden, offers contemporary, affordable and desirable scarves, baby blankets, throws and lap rugs, along-side the traditional blankets that Foxford is famous for.
