The Exchange Place Alliance is a not-for-profit organization established to preserve and advance Jersey City's Exchange Place neighborhood and be the driving force behind the redevelopment and activation of the iconic New York City facing waterfront. The Jersey City Exchange Place Special Improvement District is funded through private commercial real estate assessments. These funds will be used for capital improvements, general repairs, area maintenance, landscaping, wayfinding and community building programming. The Exchange Place Alliance strives to collaborate with real estate owners and businesses in the district to celebrate the rich history of the neighborhood while modernizing the area with additions that benefit workers, residents and visitors. Our mission is to develop the waterfront and the surrounding areas into a world-renowned destination that captures the unique multi-cultural vibrancy that is Jersey City.
