The FBI San Diego Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBISDCAAA) was incorporated in 2004. The mission of the FBI Citizens Academy is to foster a greater understanding of the role of federal law enforcement in the community through frank discussion and education. Over its 15+ year history at FBI San Diego, this national community outreach program has graduated more than 400 participants who serve as leaders in our community. After the 8-week Academy, graduates continue to participate in extended learning opportunities like quarterly presentations to remain current on issues and challenges law enforcement agencies face. Members go on tours of restricted areas and participate in community outreach programs. Public support and understanding is essential to the success of the FBI. Graduates are invited to be force multipliers by serving as "Community Ambassadors of the FBI" within our region. The FBI San Diego Citizens Academy Alumni Association is a nonprofit organization separate and apart from the FBI.
