NOESI.gr started off as a website at www.noesi.gr, evolved to an interactive network of services and an online community of thousands of people. It aired in January 2004 and was founded as a Limited Partnership (Ltd.) firm in March 2010 as "Noesis online". Accredited by the Health on the Net Foundation since 2006 for providing valid and accurate heatlh-related information online, today www.noesi.gr hosts hundreds of weblogs of parents and people with disabilities or SEN, along with large databases of information on disorders, legislation, intervention methods, training and support. Accordingly to serving both service users and service providers, it hosts and monitors a couple of expanding networks of professionals and services providers, in both private and public sectors. It is build and maintained on Open Source Software and user registration if free for all, aiming at engaging visitors to post new content or comment on existing. Services to socially vulnerable people and Charities are offered free of charge, as documented in www.noesi.gr/stateofplay.
