Veterinary Hospital and Clinic. Sunrise Animal Hospital was purchased in May of 1987 by Dr. Hendrik DeZeeuw, and the company was incorporated in December of that same year. Dr. Sanjay Ralhan joined the company in 1990 and in 1995 he formed a partnership with Dr. DeZeeuw. The original location of Sunrise Animal Hospital was at 1 Sunrise Avenue in Mount Pearl, NL. Land was purchased at 222 Park Avenue and after the construction of the new hospital was complete, the new and improved Sunrise Animal Hospital opened for business on December 31 2007. Today Sunrise Animal Hospital Ltd. has two Hospitals. The Torbay Road Animal Hospital opened in 1997 and is located at 286 Torbay Rd., Coaker's Meadow Plaza in St. John's NL. The company started with 1 vet and 4 support staff. As of October, 2013, the company has 64 employees, including 10 full time vets, 1 part-time vet, 4 registered vet techs and 49 support staff.
