Citrin Foundation

www.citrinfoundation.org

Citrin Foundation is an unique charity organization in several important ways: - We are an Asia-based organization focusing on a primarily Asian condition, citrin deficiency, that has subsequently been discovered to afflict millions globally. - We are an entirely self-funded Foundation, giving us the laser focus to help patients by developing effective cures. US$20m has been committed for the funding of the Foundation. - We provide end-to-end support to all citrin deficiency patients around the world, from funding basic science and medical research projects with the aim of finding cures, to establishing a global physician network to improve clinical care, and providing support to patients and their families. Our team of researchers consists of the top minds in the field, including Nobel Laureate Sir John Walker, and Professor Takeyori Saheki, "the father of citrin deficiency." - We are funding research projects at premier institutions around the world, including Cambridge University, Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai, Kagoshima University Graduate School, Duke-NUS Medical School and Universidad Autonoma de Madrid.
