Dr. Priya Bhat-Patel for Carlsbad City Council is recruiting a dynamic team of student and youth leaders to elect a leader who will fight for an equitable recovery for working and middle-class families from the pandemic. As a legislator in the City of Carlsbad, a public health professional, and a working mom with a day job in the domestic violence space, Dr. Priya has first-hand experience bringing polarized communities together and ensuring diverse voices are at the table. Dr. Priya believes it is time for a new generation of leaders to address high-priority issues in Carlsbad, such as affordable housing, climate stabilization, and ensuring equity is present in legislative decisions.
