Tovem Biotech is a startup focused on human and animal health that develops technology and solutions to assist in the discovery of target and adverse effects of molecules used in the production of drugs, food and chemicals. We are developing an in vitro analysis platform in which human cell models are used in an analysis device coupled with a high performance fluorescence system for the study of pharmacological toxicity and safety. The application of drug technology has already been validated in the laboratory using cardiomyocytes derived from human stem cells and we are looking for other applications such as compound screening, drug repositioning, and expansion to other areas such as veterinary drugs and food.
