Wonju Medical Industry Techno Valley Foundation is non profit foundation goverment funded for medical device industry in Gangwon Province. The Gangwon Medical Equipment Show (GMES) is an annual exhibition and trade fair that brings together various medical equipment manufacturers to the Gangwon province. GMES has been successfully held since 2006 attracting visitors each year from related industries in and out of Korea. With the strong and systematic support for the medical industry the Gangwon province is becoming the Mecca of medical clusters, accounting for more than 25% of Korea's export in medical equipment. Accordingly, GMES presents more promising business opportunities to both the visitors and the exhibitors. In conjunction with GMES the Wonju Medical Industry Techno Valley Foundation(http://www.wmit.or.kr/en)organizes a business matching program that will provide venues for Korean medical equipment companies and overseas partners to meet face-to-face and seek areas of cooperation. The visitors can take a closer look at the products, services of the Korean medical industry and experience in-depth consultation on potential business opportunities. In order to encourage more overseas enterprises to participate in the business matching program, WMIT provides significant financing assistance to overseas visitors.
