Founded in 2013, Blue Elephant Capital Management is an SEC-registered alternative credit asset manager. We focused our early efforts on smaller balance loan purchases from direct lending platforms where pre-securitization yields were high and volumes were growing. These lending platforms were a key source of data and credit aggregation, which helped Blue Elephant to create its quantitative and underwriting infrastructure around small balance private credit. The gradual development of this Blue Elephant small balance loan infrastructure, combined with an institutional fixed income underwriting rigor, has allowed the team to go downstream and unlock higher-yielding and more sustainable value for our shareholders. We form direct partnerships with small specialty finance originators that have deep and proprietary understandings of the niche lending markets they serve. By partnering with the Blue Elephant team, these originators are able to marry their unique market expertise to our dynamic funding template while also leveraging our strong underwriting, credit modeling and operational experience.
