Welcome to AHug! We’ve been where you are – wherever that is – overwhelmed and seeking information after your child has been diagnosed or facing a new challenge and needing help. AHug is a place to find answers to questions you have about autism, to provide a supportive community, and to provide services and resources that are geared towards children diagnosed with Autism. My son was diagnosed about 2 years ago, at 2 years and 11 months old, and I was blindsided. I was devastated in the beginning, and I didn’t know where to find correct information about autism. It was scary, but I was blessed to have my cousin by my side. Because her son also has autism, she was already well versed in the many things that affect our lives every day like education, medical care, financial support and so much more. My cousin was a warm comfort to me at a time when I felt like my world had been turned upside down. We at AHug are here for you – as supporters, as a resource for any need and a place to find community. Through the help of donation and sponsors, we are working to provide families with: Resources for Early Intervention Swim lessons Angel Sense – a GPS tracker Scholarships to a private school for children with autism Cord blood storage Education on autism through case studies Speech therapy scholarships I hope that stopping by has left you knowing that you are not alone and we are here for you and your child! Hugs, Teri Founder and Mom of Cason
