Looking back upon a history of 146 years, the Hungarian Office for Translation and Attestation Ltd. (OFFI Ltd.) is a unique institution in Europe in the field of certified (or attested) translations. OFFI’s history goes back to the foundation of the Central Translation Department in March 1869. OFFI was operated as a state-owned enterprise after the Second World War until 1994, when it was transformed into a 100% state-owned company limited by shares. As of 1 January 2011 the Ministryof Public Administration and Justice exercises shareholder’s rights in respect of OFFI. Headquartered in Budapest, OFFI has four regional centres (Eger, Győr, Pécs, Szeged), and the pertaining customer service points awaiting customers in 27 cities of the country. The reliability and work quality of OFFI is proved by the title “NATO Supplier”. Our Company places a special emphasis on secure data management. Based on the Site Security Certificate issued by National Security Authority, OFFI is entitled to manage and keep data qualified as “strictly confidential” at its premises, and electronically process data qualified as “restricted”.
