SEC is a turnkey contractor and operator of medium to large-scale power plants. SEC will construct and operate boiler-based plants and will consider engine-based power plants on a case-to-case basis. The boiler-based plants are fuelled by waste, RDF, SRF, biomass, straw or woodchips and the engine-based plants are powered by conventional fuels like gas, heavy fuel oil (HFO) and gas. SEC takes the responsibility for every aspect of: - Plant Engineering (E) – Procurement (P) - Construction (C) (EPC) as well of long-term Operation & Maintenance. SEC originates as a carve out from BWSC, who originated from the stationary engine division of Burmeister & Wain (B&W), which has built and installed diesel engines for power plants since 1904. SEC will build on BWSC’s impressive track record with the installation of more than 4000MW in 74 countries. Building on that vast experience, knowledge and resources acquired from the carveout, will allow SEC to grow its energy business in the UK and beyond.
