Edmonds Heights K-12 was created in 1996 for families who prefer to individualize the education of their children with parents as primary educators. At Edmonds Heights, all our resources are deployed to this end and honoring the educational philosophy of each family. We provide technical support and advocacy, and are a resource for helping parents create unique, authentic and relevant learning experiences for their students that meet the state’s legal requirements. We believe in supporting our families with an infinite number of possibilities for a student’s individualized learning! Each student has a unique Written Student Learning Plan that is designed collaboratively with parents, students, certificated teachers and support staff. The plan can be a reflection of the student’s interests, learning style, weaknesses and/or strengths. Evaluated monthly, the WSLP articulates the non-secular objectives and activities that each student’s course of study will entail.
