Founded in August 1998 the “Association of Audio-Visual Reporters” NGO (AAVR) has since carried its mission towards assisting to the establishment of civil society in Armenia. The association aims to develop free and democratic media in Armenia by assisting professionals and non-professionals who might be entitled to carry propaganda of democratic concepts and dissemination of human rights and raising social awareness. AAVR is a member of The CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia, Anti-trafficking working group of RA, as well as Armenian National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum. AAVR undertakes awareness campaigns for combating human trafficking, migration and cyber security. The NGO currently implements a project of boosting social workers’ image addressing to social problems of the society and improvement of case managers capacity. “To hear, to see, to protect”- that's the motto of the organization staff and volunteers which is reflected in the approach for all the implemented projects and activities: AAVR organizes public events, media trainings, conferences, awareness campaigns and other educational meetings on the existent issues that have a social resonance in Armenia. The organization prepares and distributes public service announcements, documentary films, television shows, printed materials and not only by its own resources but in addition involving new creative minds to the production process (professionals and students).
