The Connecticut Green Building Council (CTGBC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to accelerating the healthy, equitable and resilient transformation of the built environment through education, advocacy and community-building. Our educational offerings include introductions to/applied green certifications and standards: LEED, Living Building, Passive House, WELL and FitWell. The CTGBC membership consists of individuals, forming a green building community; companies are welcomed as sponsors and may designate a number of individuals as members according to their level of sponsorship. Throughout the year, we hold a series of workshops on green building topics, networking opportunities, membership meetings, educational forums, seminars on green buildings (in person or virtually). We advocate on behalf of policy, and partner with other organizations that align with our mission. Our annual Green Building Awards in the autumn celebrates individuals, companies and organizations that have achieved goals during the previous year.
