ABOUT US: The Aging in New York Fund, Inc. (ANYF) is the charitable arm for the NYC Department for the Aging. We are an independent 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to combating Aging inequities and empowering Aging strengths for over 50 years. OUR FOCUS: Combatting indequities for NYC's Older Adults: Ageism, Discrimination and Marginalization, Financial Exploitation and Abuse, Health Inequity, and Tech Inequity; Empowering NYC's Older Adults: Intergenerational Connections; and Aging in Place. Since its inception in 1982 by the Department for the Aging (DFTA), the Fund has launched and, in some cases, sustained, a number of major projects designed to enrich and support the multi-faceted lives and evolving needs of the City’s older adults. OUR INITIATIVES: Currently, the Fund has 4 initiatives; Age-Tastic!, Community Cares Link (CCL), Engagement in Longevity and Medicine (ELM) Research Collaborative, and VISIONS. In addition to partnership with DFTA's Foster Grandparent and Grandparent Resource Center's Kinship Caregiver program under ANYF's Intergenerational initiatives.
