www.autism-swacbd.orgThe Society for the Welfare of Autistic Children (SWAC) was formed on February 3, 2000 by a group of very enthusiastic and devoted parents of children with autism. SWAC is a non-profit, non-government, non-political and voluntary organization founded with the intention of helping children with autism in establishing their rights to education, social acceptance and to lead meaningful and productive lives. SWAC has been very effective in its mission. But with an increasing number of students and staff it has become extremely difficult for SWAC to run such an expensive program without assistance. Many students of SWAC have already reached adolescence. Therefore and Adult Work and Activity Centre needs to be developed soon where they can be creative and constructive according to their own interests, abilities and skills. In order to carry on its present activities properly, expand its activities, implement future plans and programs and to provide services to individuals with autism from all walks of life throughout the country SWAC needs its own building and substantial financial support from the government, non-government organizations, corporate sector, donor agencies and well to do members of the society.
