The Kennedy Ladd Foundation, Inc. Was started in honor of our daughter Kennedy Ladd. Kennedy underwent a bone marrow transplant as a treatment for MPS 1 Hurler Syndrome in 2015. When Kennedy was well enough to come back to TN, we knew we had to do something. So we started The Foundation to fund research for a cure for MPS 1 Hurler Syndrome. We also wanted to do something for the kids, so we decided that we would provide Apple iPad Minis for the kids with Hurler Syndrome going into transplant. They receive an iPad mini, case, screen protector, and a $25 gift card. Kids with Hurler Syndrome going into transplant are all under 2 years of age, so there isn't much they can do. We feel that the iPad will help them learn as well take their minds off of procedures or "ouchies". #Cure2025
