LifePaths Global Alliance is a registered charity based out of London, Ontario, Canada. Our mission is to provide innovative technology solutions to build a path towards medical, community and economic development. Haiti was left devastated after the massive earthquake in January, 2010 and is still recuperating and rebuilding. Our main focus and programs are located in the rural town of L'Estere (38,000 population). Providing the hearts, lives and spirits of the people living in this village with the means to become self-sufficient is our goal. Our Telemedicine Clinic is the primary initiative that LifePaths has operating in L'Estere. Headed by Medical Director, Dr. Joseph Prosper (Dr. Joey), the clinic provides patient access to FREE medical services and medications to this rural community. Without us, most of the Haitians living in this village would have NO feasible access to any form of medical care ... leaving them susceptible to dying from illnesses that could have easily been diagnosed and treated (such as bacterial infections and malaria). Other projects include a Child Sponsorship program that funds "LifePaths Home for Kids", providing a safe and healthy place for ten homeless children between the ages of 5-8 and gives a child the chance to go to school, have food, shelter and other necessities of life. Our home also provides a healthy, family atmosphere for the children with several local house mothers living in the home with the children. Our social enterprise projects including a boutique, internet café / business centre, English and computer classes and several rice fields which supply much of the food within our programs in L'Estere. All of our programs are 100% staffed by local Haitians.
