Algerian Public Television

EPTV is a public institution of an industrial and commercial nature, under the supervision of the Ministry of Communication, but with legal personality and financial autonomy. EPTV is the oldest broadcasting service in Algeria. Today, it operates a television network, Algerian Television, divided into 5 regional channels, 4 national television channels such as Canal Algérie, A3, Channel 4 and Quran TV and 1 test channel, EPTV Feed. An active member of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), EPTV is also a shareholder in Euronews SA. The headquarters of EPTV is located in a building at: 21 boulevard des Martyrs in El Mouradia (Algiers) which houses its general management and that of the Algerian Radio. This building was the home of French radio and television (RTF) in Algiers on the former Boulevard Bru, built for 1 200 000 000 francs from 1954 to 1955 and put into service at the end of 1957 - beginning of 1958. The technical infrastructures available to the production at birth were: 3 television studios (270-174-145 m2) 2 speaker cabins; 1 post synchronization studio 2 projection studios; 1 development laboratory 1 film-making laboratory; 1 photography laboratory; 5 movie editing rooms; 1 cinematheque; 1 telecine room; 1 set construction workshop. EPTV also has four regional centers in Constantine (Kaddour Boumedouze street), Oran (Colonel Ahmed Ben Abderazak boulevard), Ouargla and Béchar.
