Advokids is a non-profit organization dedicated to defending the rights and meeting the needs of California children who are in the foster care system due to abuse or neglect. We promote public awareness of the needs of children in foster care, specifically their need for safety, security and stability. Advokids offers direct assistance, support, and education to foster children and their advocates, including lawyers, foster parents, social workers, court-appointed special advocates, judicial officers and mental health professionals. We also provide information to caregivers and other child welfare advocates to assist them in accessing the child welfare system and promoting the best interests of the child. Advokids is dedicated to the development and implementation of innovative pilot projects to advance the welfare of foster children throughout California.
