The Lincoln SDA Credit Union is organized to serve members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Students and Employees of Adventist Colleges, and Employees of Adventist Hospitals. As a faith-based financial institution owned and operated by our members, our purpose is to provide a competitively priced line of financial products and services. The Lincoln SDA Credit Union will offer full-service personal banking allowing members, regardless of economic status, to improve their financial standing with competitively priced investments and lending products with minimal service fees. Credit Unions are democratically owned and controlled, not-for-profit financial institutions dedicated to providing financial services to those within its field of membership, while helping to improve the quality of life through the principles of cooperation, the people helping people principle. Each member has an equal vote, regardless of how much he or she has on deposit. This vote elects those serving on the board of directors. The credit union movement is committed to safety and soundness and protects its members’ savings with the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund. Deposits are insured up to $250,000. The Lincoln SDA Credit Union is regulated by the Nebraska State Department of Banking and insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an independent agency of the U.S. Government. Credit unions have no outside stockholders, so after reserves are set aside, earnings are returned to members in the form of higher saving dividends, lower loan rates, and lower costs services. Savings accounts are insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the federal government.
