Three athletes, role models for the basketball community, champions, international and with a strong presence in the institutions of the sport created an academy that teaches basketball and ethics. Lazaros Papadopoulos, Dimitris Diamantidis and Costas Charalambidis, all have great careers in the Greek and International Basketball, not only in their teams but also as players in the Greek National Basketball Team. These professional players created GBA and offer innovative training programs, in collaboration with experienced coaches, with deep knowledge of the sport. Children are taught from scratch the techniques of the sport and all the necessary elements for the athlete to progress in his/her basketball performance. GBA's vision of GBA for each member of its athletic family is the transmission of ethics, sportsmanship and respect, basics of sports education. GBA intends to develop basketball and enable young people to emerge through it. For us, sports are first culture, is a social institution that reflects the society and culture and this is the whole essence of our project. In GBA we teach basketball in a different way and this is why: • we teach basketball through game aspect. Our young athletes can learn the secrets of the sport with fun methods , entertained at the same time. • The teaching method is based on the pioneering program of "station" that was first implemented in our workouts. • Older athletes work with professional standards in order to become champions • The participation of international basketball players, with huge experience at Championship level , offers our athletes knowledge and vision for their future in basketball. • We focus on the athletic development of children without commercialization goals. • For us sport is culture. Through social and cultural events, we cultivate social awareness in young athletes. • We insist on keeping low costs and offering special discounts to financial vulnerable families.
