Not all legal services for cooperatives have to be expensive. A class of legal services can be provided relatively inexpensively if the attorney that provides the services has a narrow but deep interest in and understanding of cooperatives. The words "Black Dog" are intended to convey the notions of simplicity, lawyering with a small cost footprint, and providing an effective, efficient, satisfying legal services experience without pretention. That is how a portion of legal services should be experienced by Co-ops: an efficient use of your time and money with as few gymnastics as possible.
