India has been vulnerable to disasters be it floods, storms, droughts, cyclones, earthquakes, snowfall or avalanches. The scale and intensity of disasters has been increasing over the years. The present lack of an organized information system for disaster response to match needs at District, State, and National levels with an integration of Corporates, Government and Relief agencies was required. Thus the need of the hour was to develop a supply chain management system that would connect the local Needs with available resources i.e., human, financial or products. This is to work towards getting The Right Aid to the Right People at the Right Time™ CDRN was launched under the auspices of Corporate Task Force of National Disaster Management Authority, GOI (NDMA) and CSO Partners. It has achieved key milestones, since its inception. CDRN has been working in partnership with the private sector, serving the requirements of humanitarian operations. The system is now a strong network of 4600 registered users comprising of product suppliers and corporates. CDRN Mission Statement: We work with other relief agencies to help provide physical,at the time of need for as long as the need exists,to ensure the Right Aid to the Right People at the Right Time
