Catholic Charities Diocese of Sioux City
www.cathchar.comAll God's children are deserving of care and compassion. Our primary focus is offering the best mental health care for those most in need through in-person and telehealth counseling for ALL ages, faiths and backgrounds by independently licensed therapists. Therapists use evidence-based approaches such as PCIT (specialized for children with behavioral disorders), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and EMDR (specialized treatment for trauma, abuse and PTSD). Two bilingual therapists on staff provide care to Spanish-speaking clients. We offer a sliding-fee scale based on family size and income and turn no one needing mental health care away for the inability to pay. Medicare, IA/NE Medicaid and most insurances accepted. EAP provider, day and evening appointments available. Through our Pathways to Hope and Healing program, struggling or at-risk school-age children receive FREE mental health assessments. Clients in need of psychiatric services as part of their mental health care have access to Dr. Nesrin Abu Ata, M.D. and can utilize our sliding-fee scale for these appointments. We are a federally appointed TVAP provider (Trafficking Victim Assistance Program), offer free Love & Logic parenting classes and free crisis debriefing services to first responders. It is testament to our therapists and the care they give to have our agency receive a perfect score on our most recent (2019) Iowa Mental Health Chapter 24 State Licensure Review and be consistently cited by government, insurance, and other accrediting institutions as exhibiting and adhering to best practices in the mental health industry.
