On April 5, 1949, the American Women’s Club of Brussels, a non-profit organization was founded by 36 American women who wanted to create a local support network for US expats living in Belgium. We have evolved to include both men and women - of any nationality - who want to share in the American spirit. The AWCB also provides philanthropic support to both local and global charities, and is part of FAWCO, a United Nations NGO which has the mission to improve the lives of girls and women around the world.
