At PowerWood, we manufacture and distribute quality Western Red and Alaskan Yellow Cedar products. We carry a large variety of lumber, specialty products and custom patterns. As long-time leaders in custom cedar production, we can expertly manufacture nature’s best building material any way you like. In 1995, founder Steve Power started selling select tight knotty Western Red Cedar from his home in Coquitlam, BC to wholesale distributors in California. Back then, he was leasing a storage yard and outsourcing all the manufacturing, but by 2002, he had grown the business enough to buy a 5-acre distribution yard, located in Surrey, BC. After Steve retired in 2011, Jake Power and Dustin Elliott took over the business. Together, they’ve built upon Steve’s success and taken PowerWood to the next level by restructuring the operations of the company and growing to a staff size of over 30. PowerWood has steadily built its team, facilities, processes and distribution chain around one simple goal: The ability to deliver high quality, custom products that meet the exact needs of the job site.
