Along the journey we prompt them when it’s time to stride over streams, navigate round tree stamps, mud paddles and potholes. Initially you notice that the students are appalled at the apparent extreme poverty, limited resources and exposure of their host. However they soon begin to borrow from the hindsight of the locals, Indulge in their host simplicity, contagious joy, improvising and contentment. More often than not mindsets shift and transformations are inevitable. Students confess that their worldview and attitudes are transformed for the better as a result.
