The East Harlem Business Capital Corporation, Inc. (EHBCC) was a nonprofit economic development organization incorporated in 1997 in the State of New York. In February 1999, EHBCC received its 501 (c) 3 Federal Tax Exemption. EHBCC’s mission was to enhance the economy and commerce of El Barrio/ Spanish Harlem, create jobs, and help entrepreneurs and small businesses become successful. EHBCC played a vital role in improving the economic condition and quality of life for all El Barrio/ Spanish Harlem residents by supporting underserved entrepreneurs in starting, stabilizing and establishing businesses, by providing quality business education and financing to small businesses and entrepreneurs that want to build a business.
